RECALLS: Pulau Pangkor

Dear bloggers,

While struggle about the thesis, i'm take a few minutes rest by looking at old picture. It make me want to write something about my journey. Although it is not fascinating and exciting as other people but it is very special for me.

The story happen when i'm still in diploma at Sri Iskandar. I don't remember well when exactly is the journey but i think it is when semester break. The plan should including all my classmate, however only 5 people that going. We start our travel by boarding a bus to Lumut then boarding a ferry to Pulau Pangkor. We rent a bicycle at the camp site to travel the next day. We travel all around Pangkor by riding a bicycle with the hilly road surfaces. Feel shy when people keep looking at us especially at the hills. Funny when we cannot climb the hills by bike...we had to push our bike hehe. At night, we had a barbeque...and enjoy the night at beach. Below is some of the picture that we take... ^_^

I'm back!!

Dear blogger,

It is the time for Ramadan. A fasting month for Muslim around the world. Let's improve our good deeds and prayer in this month. May Allah S.W.T bless us.First of all, I want to say sorry for those who read and follow my blog because my late update. Really really sorry. A lot of things happen and it will take time to tell you all about it. So, I just make it simple.

I done my first semester in university and now i'm on holiday. Feel excited that i can relax at home and be with my own family. There is a lot of things that I want to share. First, I already graduated from diploma and went to Convocation Day!!! Yahoo...feel happy that i had past diploma level and i can meet my friends. Miss them a lot. A friends that always help me, advice me, change me, make jokes, share knowledge, and share emotions. They gave me the best memories ever. ^____^
not ready for the shoot!

my friends..

It really sad thought that my family cannot came that day. I'm just pretend to be happy but deep inside my heart..dissapointed. Maybe because my friends came along with their family and i'm not. But I try to accept reality. They have reasons they cannot came, not they don't want to came.
*It is my first time go there with friends. Thanks to the driver-Dila

*********************************************************************************

Next story is about my second time climbed Gunung Ledang or called Mount Ophir in English. This experience are different from last time. This time is more challenging and full of knowledge. It is more than climb and see a beautiful view. We climbed to learn and find ourselves, about who we are.

This trip called as Kem Penyambung Warisan Era 22. Been held by our seniors at campus and alumni. We arrived at the bottom of Gunung Ledang at around 11.00 am. We needed to repacked our bags to add items to cooks and other things. It's very heavy. At first checkpoint, I already tired and always stop under the trees. Then we climbed and reached at base camp around ?hehe. Not remember the time. We then prepared the base camp and done many activities in 4 days. Tired but fun. Really do not have enough sleep. At fifth day, we climbed to the top of Gunung Ledang. Unlucky, I have a stomachache that day. I feel extremely tired and cannot continue the climbing. I feel like all my energy has been drained from me. Our trainer said that if we tired, hug a tree. I follow the advice but nothing happen. Maybe because I wear a gloves? Others members in my group give me a support to not give up and continue to climb. They help me climb, they ask me if i'm okey or not, and they give us(me and other friend that also tired) ways to lead the group. ^___^

beautiful isn'it

where am I?

still have a time to take photo :P

At last I'm finally arrived at peak of Gunung Ledang with my members. yeah!!!

Then we need to wait for other groups that are still climbing and unluckily it is afternoon. You understand what I mean right..hehehe. Really hot because there are no trees at the top. Just a small, and clear soil. Anyways I'm feel happy ^___^
*P/S cannot wait to climb down

It's funny when my friend told our members that when I'm climb, I the slowest but when climb down, I'm the fastest. hahaha. Really. When climbing I feel like dying but when climb down I feel more energetic. Do not know why? The fact is when I climb down I feel like flying. I touched the trees at both left and my right side with bare hands and they support me. The trees gives me some energy that allows me to move fastest. It so cool and I feel happy when touch the surface of the trees. Moreover, I like it when it happen. Then, I'm arrived at based camp.

It is so fun.^____^

Salam Ramadan  guys.
Thanks for friends who upload a pictures

First Week

Dear blogger,

Now I'm degree student. Not diploma student. So I need to motivate myself to be independent, diligent and strong physical and mental. First day, as usual, unpacking clothes and stuff. I got ground floor's room. At first I feel happy because every semester in diploma, I only got rooms upstairs. But just for a few moment I realized that I'm wrong. Even though I got ground floor, I still need to use stairs to get there T_T.

Room for 6 people

Stairs that I always use

Second day, I when to get my WPP (Wang Pendahuluan Pinjaman) with my friends. I thought that the place is near my college but No. We mostly exhausted when arrive there.

Monday...I feel quite nervous and scare because it's my first time to faculty. Alhamdulillah I have friends from   UiTM Perak who also got here. We need to climb a hill to go there. Not a high hill but a small one. My friends call it 'Bukit Tonggek'?. My legs feels tired and exhausted. I can see the faculty from here...

There are briefing to all department at Auditorium Utama then we split according to our department.

There are briefing  from our KP(Koordinator Program) until evening. We were told to register our subject, major and minor. We can choose any minor except for graphic and photo subject because it is to far. I think at Puncak Alam. For major, we need to choose from 4 subject, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and fine art ceramic. I choose painting and write my name on the list. My friend also. Because there are to many applied for painting, the KP assign us to interview. O.o Interview!!!

Next day as usual. Attending class and so on. I feel scare for tomorrow interview. We need to prepare a proposal but since I don't bring any artwork, I just prepare with softcopy.

It is time for interview. There are 4 lecture that would interview us. All male and more importantly we don't know their name. Only who applied for painting would need to interview. They call one by one....Scary !!!
My friends got it. Now it's me. I show them.......They not really satisfied with my artwork because most of my artwork at average level. Not like my other friends. They suggest me applied for ceramic because I had a basic of ceramic and they scare that I cannot catch up with others if I applied for painting. Then they told me to wait until all the interview finish. Other friend, Kak.... also same same with me, need to wait but her case is different. She wants to applied painting but they told her that her skill is printmaking. The interview is finish and told some of us(who need to wait) included me to gathering. They discuss among themselves and a few minutes later, call us one by one. Kak... success getting painting for major then my name is called. When I entering, my eyes feel like a pool of water but I bear it from fall. They discuss with me whether I'm applied for painting, sculpture, or fine art ceramic. I said if I don't get painting, I will applied for printmaking but they said printmaking is full. I silent.....Then I said I will try on fine art ceramic. I got out and meet my friends. Told them I doesn't get and choose fine art ceramic. I don't cry but I smile instead. I talking like usual with them.

As soon as I arrived at my room. My face change. I cry silently. I cry.... but not because I doesn't get it. It is because that now I realized that I'm at different level with my friends. Only now I realized that I'm not skilled enough to be with them. I confused why I get here instead Perak? It's because of my pointer? But why?

I'm praying and thinking for a moment. This is my way. This is my road to be strong. This is destiny. I will fight for  it. I know my weakness, thank you Allah SWT to show me and make me not to lost my way. I will overcome and struggle my weakness. Practice make perfect..Thank you

UiTM Shah Alam

Dear blogger,

Finally I arrived at UiTM Shah Alam for March intake. Actually I arrived yesterday but I'm too busy prepare for register and unpacking my baggage. I feel miserable and sad because I had to part away with my family. It's not first time though but....I don't know why. Instead of crying, I smile when they leave me. Not to show them how I feel. Alhamdullilah my friend also got here.

View from my room
*Sorry for the short post but now I will always update my blog. I still don't familiar with this new place. Maybe I need to wander around a bit.

Zulkifli Yusof with Aznan Omar and Suhaimi Tular
Zulkifli Yusoff's journey into contemporary art began with a copy of Art Today given to him by his father in 1979.Working in various mediums, he has played an important part in developing installation art in Malaysia. The Kedah born artist works in both sculpture and canvas, creating satirical pieces on the subject of power. Socio political in context, Zulkifli Yusoff's work confronts the norms.

Trip to Malacca

Dear blogger,

I know this is kind of late, but I will share it anyway - our trip to Malacca (2011).

Review:
For your information, Malacca is one of the most historical place in Malaysia and had been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. According to the legend, Malacca is named from Malacca tree by Parameswara who was resting under that tree - watch one of his dogs cornered a mouse deer but that dog had been pushed into a river. Impressed by that deer action, he decided to build an empire on that spot. Because of it's strategic location between India and China, Malacca has been known as port or trade center for merchants. Until today, Malacca became one of the centers of tourism from other countries and local itself.

Trip:
It is my second trip since I enrolled in UiTM Perak. Yeah!! The first one is Penang but it is not too enjoyable. I think? Because the trip is for one day only. Since my batch have 4 classes, it is a little crowded. But I do not care at all. What I want to do is enjoy my trip as I can. By the way, our lectures give an assignment to us (related to our course) - sketches and take a picture as many as you can about Malacca.

Here is some picture ^___^
